●Contents of the lecture:
①"Sea Problems and SDGs"
②“Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity in Areas Outside of National Jurisdiction (BBNJ)”
③Work at the United Nations
④"Career Relationship"

In the lecture, Mr. Takei first talked about "Sea Problems and SDGs".
In particular, he spoke about how to coordinate with each country and incorporate it as a regional issue in order to address SDG14 ("Protecting the richness of the sea") and marine biodiversity (BBNJ) in areas outside the jurisdiction, while balancing environmental protection and economic activities with conservation.
In addition, after the Q & A session on the specialty of the business in charge, the lecturer talked about his career. He spoke about the importance of working at the United Nations because he wanted to make the most of his research fields in the world of practical work, as he has been interested in international law since high school, and while improving his expertise through universities and graduate schools as well as overseas studies and internships.
In the Q & A session, the participating students asked, "Why did you become interested in the "environment" that is specialized?" "Are there any concerns about working abroad?" There were questions such as "Do you have any good or conscious things that you did after college or after graduation?" There was also advice that you could see a variety of things by talking to people from various countries based on your own experience, and that when working at the United Nations, you often need Buddhist language in addition to English, and that it is interesting to study other languages.
A total of 15 students from Yokohama City University's Faculty of International Science, the Faculty of Liberal Arts, and the Faculty of International Commerce participated in this lecture.

At a later date, the student said
"It was the first time that a staff member taught me about my work at the United Nations so specifically, so I had an image of working at the United Nations and other international organizations in the future." "I was able to deepen my understanding of the value of working at international organizations." "I was able to learn more specifically about the career and work of UN staff." "I was able to learn a lot about the current trend of environmental issues related to the sea and the work of the United Nations."
I had such comments.
