NO.7 "We conducted information collection training using drones!"

　On Friday, June 7, Hodogaya Ward and Showa Construction Co., Ltd. (Showa Construction Co., Ltd.) conducted drills using drones at Water Works Bureau Nishiya Water Purification Plant to collect information in the event of a disaster.
　This initiative was implemented based on the "Agreement on Support for Activities Utilizing Drones in the Event of a Disaster" concluded with Showa Construction in FY2022. The training was conducted on the assumption that the whole area of the major earthquake, storms and floods, and that the damage situation such as landslide could be grasped.
　In the event of a disaster, disaster headquarters must be set up at the ward office to collect information and understand the situation of the disaster. Through this training, with the cooperation of Showa Construction, who uses drones on a daily basis, we were able to confirm that the ability to collect information in the event of a disaster was significantly improved. I feel very encouraging.
　It is most desirable that no disaster occurs, but in the unlikely event that it occurs, we would like to collect information in cooperation with related organizations and promote the safety of residents of the city.
