Director General tile version December 2, 2021 (Message from Director General)

　Various commendation certificates were given to those who have been working hard to beautify the city and promote 3R activities on a daily basis. Mr. Kenkichi Tsurui, Chairman of the Kanagawa Ward Environmental Business Promotion Committee Liaison Council, gave us his words.

　Nishikannagawa 1-chome Tomiyacho Neighborhood Associations, who received the Prefectural Beautification Movement Promotion Merit Award, cleans and manages roads and waterfall river murmuring green roads, and at the same time, through patrols at garbage collection points, properly manages the collection points, and contributes to raising the awareness of local residents about garbage disposal.

　Akio-kai, who received the Yokohama Environmental Action Award "Clean and Beautiful Town Development Promotion Award", has contributed to the creation of a clean city, such as cleaning and weeding the shopping streets of Oguchi-dori and roads along national roads.

　Mr. Masao Yamamoto and Mr. Akiko Matsumoto, who have been in the Environmental Business Promotion Committee for 20 years, Mr. Takao Masuda, who have been in office for 15 years, and Mr. Yoshio Honda, have been awarded commendation certificates for their long-term achievements.

　Proper maintenance of the public health of "towns" in the east and west of Kokin, was a major issue in protecting people's lives and developing "towns". Immediately after the opening of the port, this was a major issue for the port town of Yokohama, in terms of epidemic prevention to prevent plagues originating from foreign countries. Even in the age of Reiwa, the need for efforts to improve and maintain the environment remains the same.

　It is a personal matter, but I commute to the ward office through the "Takino River Babbling Green Road". I always feel clean, refreshing, and very good from the morning.

　I felt once again that the accumulation of daily community activities supported the creation of a clean and livable city in Kanagawa Ward, and it was a day filled with gratitude.
