Results of dioxin survey in soil (FY2013)

This page is a document describing the results of a survey of dioxin concentrations in soil conducted in FY2013 (Heisei 25).

Overview of the Survey

Yokohama City has been investigating dioxins in the soil since 1998, and this year, the entire city was divided into 10 districts, and one point was selected from each district and surveyed. We are pleased to inform you that the results of the survey have been compiled.

Survey points and methods

The survey points were selected for parks with bare land with a certain area suitable for sampling, and were collected and analyzed in accordance with the "Soil Survey and Measurement Manual for Dioxins (Ministry of the Environment: March 2009)" .

From August 20, 2013 to August 26, 2013

Results of the survey

  1. The concentration of dioxins in the soil at 10 locations in the city conformed to the soil environmental standard of 1,000 pg-TEQ / g at all locations.
