Results of dioxin survey in soil (FY2004)
This page is a press release on the results of dioxin surveys in the environment conducted in FY2004 (Heisei 16), and describes the survey results of dioxin concentrations in soil.
Purpose of the survey
From 2000, the city of Yokohama will be separated by a 1km mesh, and each mesh (340 mesh) will be surveyed in 5 years, and the results of the survey at 68 locations conducted in 2004, the fifth year, will be compiled. I will let you know.
Survey points and methods
The survey points were selected for parks, temples and shrines, and schools with bare land with a certain area suitable for sampling, and were collected and analyzed in accordance with the "Soil Survey and Measurement Manual for Dioxins (Environment Agency: January 2000)" Did.

From November 26, 2004 to December 7, 2004
Results of the survey
- The concentration of dioxins in the soil at 68 locations in the city was within the range of 0.0014 pg-TEQ / g from a minimum of 23 pg-TEQ / g, and the average was 1.9 pg-TEQ / g. The results of this survey conformed to the soil environmental standard of 1,000 pg-TEQ / g.

Future Responses
In fiscal 2005, we will conduct surveys on areas with relatively high concentrations among the survey results so far.
