Results of dioxin survey in soil (FY2006)
This page is a document describing the results of a survey of dioxin concentrations in soil conducted in FY2006 (Heisei 18).
Purpose of the survey
Yokohama City has been investigating dioxins in the soil since 1998, but in 2006, the entire city was divided into 10 districts, one point was selected from each district, and a survey was conducted. We will inform you that the survey results have been compiled.
Survey points and methods
The survey points were selected for parks with bare land with a certain area suitable for sampling, and were collected and analyzed in accordance with the "Soil Survey and Measurement Manual for Dioxins (Environment Agency: January 2000)" .

From February 15, 2007 to February 16, 2007
Results of the survey
- The concentration of dioxins in the soil at 10 locations in the city was within the range of 0.049 pg-TEQ / g from a minimum of 0.7 pg-TEQ / g, and the average was 1.9 pg-TEQ / g. The results of this survey conformed to the soil environmental standard of 1,000 pg-TEQ / g at all points.
