scientific name | Vitexagnus-castus |

Place of origin | South Europe, West Asia |
Features | It's also known as daisy. There is a Chinese ginseng in the same genus. Carrot leaves resemble Korean ginseng leaves, and because they are trees instead of grass, they are named "ginseng trees". The name of Italian ginboku is also derived from this. From late summer to autumn, it blooms pale purple ears of about 15 cm in length. Dried fruits have been used for medicinal purposes and pepper substitutes, but are now grown in health foods and herbal teas. In addition, it is cultivated for ornamental use because of its beautiful flowers and good fragrance. You can see it at the entrance of the field in Environmental Activity Support Center. |
