In 2024, we held a lecture on dissemination and enlightenment of persons with disabilities, "My Conflict, Challenge, Road I Walked" (December 4, 2024 (Reiwa 6))

　On December 4 (Wednesday), the 2024 Lecture on Understanding and Dissemination of Persons with Disabilities was held at Minamin (Minami public hall).
　Takuya Furusawa, who won the silver medal as the representative of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball Japan, was invited as a lecturer to give a lecture on the process of accepting disabilities, the opportunity to aim for the Paralympic Games, and future challenges.
　After the lecture, there was a commentary on the difference between the competition and the wheelchair used normally, and a demonstration of wheelchair basketball. In addition, Yamashita of Kanagawa VANGUARDS to which Furusawa belongs also had a stage and performed a powerful performance on stage. The sound of the wheelchair colliding sounded, and cheers and applause were heard from the audience.
　Visitors commented, "The positive attitude was helpful," and "The appeal of parasports was conveyed."
　In Minami Ward, we will continue to promote awareness among people with and without disabilities to live together.
