It's fun! (Friendship Exchange with Hikone City and Nishi Ward Candle Art 2022)

　On December 16th, Takumi Narita, Chief of the Hikone Tourism Exchange Division, visited Nishi Ward Office.
　Hikone City and Nishi Ward signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Friendship Exchange in 2015. This visit came to Nishi Ward Office to participate in the “Jojo EXPO2022” held in Pacifico-yokohama North on July 17 and 18, at Premier eve festival on the 16th.　
　On December 17th, "Nishi Ward Candle Art 2022" was held at the International Exchange Zone Plaza Plaza in Pacifico-yokohama, where the motif candles of the Nishi Ward mascot character "Nishimaro-chan" and Hikone character "Hikonyan" and the message candles drawn by elementary school students illuminated the venue gently. In addition, both characters appeared at the opening ceremony and photo session, and the venue was greatly excited. The weather was in danger on the day, but during the event, it was not rainy and we were able to enjoy a fantastic winter night for visitors. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your cooperation in this event.
　This year is only a few more, but I hope that the inhabitants of the ward will have a healthy and smiling New Year.
