Notification of admission to elementary school
As of August (around the 20th), you are registered as a resident in Yokohama City (those who have a status of residence of at least 3 months or those who are listed in resident certificate as special permanent residents) and will enter elementary school from April of the following year. If you wish to enroll in Yokohama Municipal Elementary Schools, you will need to complete the procedures at the ward office. For details, please refer to the "Information on Admissions" sent in September.
In addition, if you do not have a status of residence and are not listed in resident certificate, you will not receive an "Enrollment Information". If you wish to enroll in Yokohama Municipal Elementary Schools, please contact the ward office Family Registry Division Student Affairs Section after September.
Admission in the middle of the school year
If you wish to enroll in Yokohama Municipal Elementary Schools or Yokohama City Junior High School in the middle of your school year, please contact the ward office Family Registry Division Student Affairs Section.
