The history and origin of the town name / Susukino 1-chome to 3-chome
Hen history / origin
A town newly established from each part of Kuroganecho, Kurosuda-cho, and Motoishikawacho with the enforcement of the land readjustment project in 1973. In the old days, it was located in Naka-Satomura and Sannaimura, Tsuzuki-gun. Transferred from Midori Ward following the reorganization of administrative districts in 1994. The name of the town is "Susukino" with a deep connection between Musashino and Japanese pampas grass, which is one of the seven herbs in autumn and is a well-grown plant.
