　Gundam stands against the backdrop of beautiful scenic colors such as the port of Yokohama, Bay Bridge, and Minato Mirai 21 district. Looking up at Gundam, which was 18m high, from the ground, I was overwhelmed by the huge size. The weather was blessed on the day, and the contrast between the blue sky and the white body was very beautiful. When it gets dark, it will be lit up and the appearance will stand out, and you can enjoy Gundam with a different atmosphere than during the day.

　When you climb the deck "GUNDAM -DOCK TOWER", which stores the "moving Gundam" and performs maintenance work, you can see the head and body of Gundam up close. You can see that the details are made firmly.
　Until you climb to "GUNDAM-DOCK TOWER", line up along the mark on which the footprints of Gundam are drawn.

　You can't miss the production of Gundam moving. It was a masterpiece to see the 18m real Gundam stepped on and fly.

　In 2014, the project team "Gundam Global Challenge (GGC)" was formed, led by Yuki Tomino, the general director of "Moving Gundam Gundam", and the dream project of "moving" has started. We are looking for a wide range of ideas and plans from all over the world, and we are promoting projects centered on Japan. A roadmap for the realization of moving Gundam has been formed.
　In 2018, the staff who set the standing statue of the real-large Gundam in Odaiba, Tokyo reunited, and the design to move Gundam in Yokohama began. In addition to the design and production of the Gundam body, the design of frames and exterior parts, and the electrical wiring of the Gundam body were devised.
　Production was started in 2019, and Gundam was completed in August 2020. It opened on December 19 of the same year after checking the operation and lighting up for the release.
　In the production and exhibition of Gundam, many Japanese companies participated as technical partners to collaborate on technology, and worked on temporary construction at Yamashita Wharf, construction of Gundam frames and scaffolds, production and painting of exterior parts, and installation of control systems. It was truly realized by bringing together Japan's technological capabilities and passion for manufacturing.
