Tozuka Elementary School fifth graders (149 students in 4 classes) will make rice on the rooftop paddy field (34 meters above ground) on the 8th floor of the Totsuka Ward Office with the cooperation of farmers in JA Yokohama and Maiokacho.
Through one year of rice cultivation, elementary school students will deepen their understanding of agriculture and interest in locally grown and consumed.
