This time, Kanto Gakuin University, McDonald's Japan Co., Ltd. and Yokohama City collaborated, and students from Kanto Gakuin University learned about biodiversity and the procurement of sustainable ingredients and materials in McDonald's in class, and designed tray mats to be laid on trays used at McDonald's stores. An online voting will be held for anyone to participate in the design. The work selected for the highest award will be developed as an actual tray mat at all McDonald's stores in Yokohama.
In order to encourage citizens to deepen their understanding of biodiversity, we will invite many people to participate in voting and exhibit at Yokohama City Hall so that students can see their works. In addition, one of them will be awarded the City of Yokohama, Environmental Planning Bureau Prize.
