　The 25th Hodogaya Ward Handmade Paper Hikoki Tournament was held at Hodogaya Sports Center on Sunday, July 2.
At the 25th tournament, which has a history of this time, more than 100 players who won the qualifying rounds in 18 districts in the city gathered on the day and competed for the flight time of handmade paper Hikoki.

　I also flew with a test throwing ceremony, which was not the opening ceremony, and was able to record about 7 seconds. I wonder if it was a good example (laughs).
　After the competition started, the venue was united in a lively atmosphere, with great applause from the bleachers every time a good record was made. .
　On this day, the tournament record (15:11 * has not been broken for more than 10 years) was not updated, but a wonderful record of 11:09 was measured. Congratulations to all the winners.
　The competition is held in four classes according to age, but "Fun Hikoki", which can be attended by elementary school students and younger, was also held for the first time in four years, and the cheers of the children were echoing. Yokohama City advocates "Yokohama, a town that has raised children and nurtures the next generation together" as a basic strategy of the medium-term plan. We will continue to work on events that will make children in Hodogaya Ward smile.
