Complaint Casebook Foreign matter in honey
1.Overview
I found a black one at the bottom of the honey bottle given by an acquaintance.
2.Test Results
Overview: A large black mass of 1cm x 3cm was found on the bottom of the bottle. When the honey inside was opened, sugar precipitation was observed at the bottom, and there was a black lump in it.

Stereo microscope: The sugar and black mass precipitated at the bottom of the bottle were melted with hot water, and when filtered, fine particles were observed on the filter.
Scanning electron microscope: Fine particles on the filter are pollen and other particles (sand or nest fragments).

3.Conclusion
It is thought that pollen and other fine particles have settled with sugar and solidified.
