Red glass-shaped sediment (whole)
Red glass-shaped sediment (enlarged)
2.Results of the survey
- 5mm x 4mm to 1mm x 1mm and 79mg red-purple scale scales
- Stereo microscope: A light red-purple mass
- Infrared spectroscopy: We found a spectrum similar to that of hydrogen potassium tubate.
3.Conclusion
It was presumed to be a tartar that precipitated in the wine (hydroporium tarcate). Potassium tubate is a natural ingredient that is abundant in grapes.
4.Reference
Tavern is contained in 0.2-1.0% in grape juice and 0.1-0.6% in wine. When the wine is cooled, the crystallization of this potassium tubate progresses.
