Absentee voting in other municipalities (voting in)
If you stay in other municipalities until the voting date on a trip or business trip, you can request a ballot from Konan Ward and vote at the Election Commission of your accommodation.
You can download the form for requesting ballot paper from the link below. When you fill it out, be sure to mail it. (E-mail, fax, etc. are not allowed.)

We accept absentee votes at the 56th floor on the 5th floor of the Konan Ward Office.

Absentee voting by mail (postal voting)
For those with severe physical disabilities and those who need nursing care under the Nursing Care Insurance Law, there is a system that allows them to vote by mail at home.
※Absentee voting by mail must be issued a "certificate by mail" in advance. Please contact the Election Commission as soon as possible.

Absentee voting at hospitals and nursing homes (facility voting)
If you are hospitalized or in a hospital or nursing home, if you are designated as a facility where you can vote for absentees, you can vote for absentees at that facility, so please contact the head of the facility.
About online billing
If you have a My Number Card, you can make an online request from a PC or smartphone using the Yokohama City Electronic Application and Notification System.
Notes
- Please note that it is not the system that can vote online.
- Online billing is limited to billing by the elector.
- After voting at the Election Commission of the place of stay, the absentee voting will be returned from the Election Commission of the place of stay to the Election Commission of your ward (electoral list registration place) by the day of voting. Must be done. Please consider the mailing time from the Election Commission of your place of stay and request it as soon as possible.
About overseas voting
Even if you live abroad, you can vote for national elections in Japan.
In order to vote, it is necessary to register in the overseas electoral list in advance.
When overseas electors vote on the day of voting, they need to vote at the polling place designated for each ward.
