The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has been awarded the Minister of Education to schools, schools, libraries, organizations and individuals who have been conducting distinctive and outstanding practices since 2002 to contribute to the further promotion of children's reading activities.
263 schools, schools, libraries, and groups (individuals) were awarded nationwide as "Excellent Practice Schools, Gardens, Libraries, and Organizations (Individuals) for Children's Reading Activities in 2024," Kawakami Elementary School (Totsuka Ward), Kita Tsunashima Special Needs School (Kohoku Ward), and Konan Library (Konan Ward).
