In response to a report from the Yokohama City Council for the Protection of Cultural Properties (Chairman Tsutomu Yamamoto), we decided to designate Designated Cultural Property, a wooden Siddhartha Gautama and the right attendant Buddhist statues and two other cases. As a result of this designation, Designated Cultural Property in Yokohama will have 177 cases.
In the future, as a related event, we will hold the "2024 Yokohama City Designated and Registered Cultural Properties Exhibition" at the Yokohama City History Museum from Saturday, February 8, 2025 to Sunday, March 16.
