Based on the final report of the "Diverse Large City System Realization Project" held in November 2021, the mayors of 12 designated cities have started discussions on the "Diverse Large City System Realization Project" in FY2022.
In the future, this project will accelerate discussions on the direction of specific initiatives for realizing various metropolitan systems, such as the legislation of the special self-government municipal system, which will lead to fostering momentum as a whole country.
