February Food distribution volunteer group "Sakurakai" to watch the area with handmade lunch boxes in February

　This time, I visited the activities of the food distribution volunteer group "Sakurakai". Volunteers of "Sakurakai" who have been active for more than 20 years. Once a week, we also watch over while delivering handmade warm lunches to those living alone over the age of 65.
　When I visited Katakura Sanmai Community Care Plaza, the activity base of the Sakurakai, I heard the voices of volunteers who were active. . The menu on this day is hamburger. It seems that they cook softly because they have the ability to chew depending on the person who eats the lunch.
　What impressed me especially when I saw the activities was the good teamwork of the volunteers. While talking to each other, they were cooking and serving skillfully. In addition, it has been reported that they are active in thinking about those who eat lunch, such as making menus that consider nutritional balance and seasoning with reduced salt.
　The most rewarding thing for volunteers is that they can say "It was delicious" and "Thank you always" when delivering lunch. We hope that you will continue to work as a local watch squad for a long time in cooperation with community care plazas and care managers.
