　I had the opportunity to visit Taiyo Yushi Co., Ltd., which makes soap that is friendly to people and the environment.
　
　Taiyo Yushi Co., Ltd. has been operating in Koyasu, Kanagawa Ward since its establishment in 1919. The main products are edible processed oils and fats (shorting and margarine), soap and cosmetics (home and commercial soap, shampoo, toothpaste, cosmetics), and feed (feed fatty acid calcium).
　We make things that are indispensable to our daily lives, such as ingredients for famous sweets that everyone has once eaten, and fried chicken oil.
　
　As a raw material, we actively procure palm oil with low environmental impact, which takes into account the natural environment of the producing country and the lives of the people living there.
　Furthermore, through sponsorship of soap classes and events for elementary and junior high school students, we are working hard to raise awareness about ethical consumption (*) and environmental considerations.
　(*Ethical consumption)…In order to realize a sustainable society, select and buy products that are environmentally and socially friendly.
　
　In addition, state-of-the-art robots have been introduced in the process of transporting heavy luggage, and women are now entrusted to them. Consideration was given to employee safety and diversity (diversity).
　
　As a result of these efforts, Yokohama City's SDGs certification system "Y-SDGs" has been certified since the first time, and at the time of renewal last year, the highest level of Supreme was acquired.
　
　It was a factory tour that I was proud to have a finest 100-year-old company that supports people's daily lives here in Kanagawa Ward, and I felt again that I wanted more residents to know.
