Kanagawa Ward, a young man

　In this month's “Director General People and Town Tour (outside site)”, we will introduce the activities of sports promotion committee members and youth instructors who run the 73rd Kanagawa Ward Boys and Girls Softball Games held in August.

　Sports promotion committee members are commissioned by Yokohama City for the purpose of promoting local sports and recreation, and youth instructors are commissioned by Yokohama City for the purpose of supporting the growth of young people in the area, and conduct various events. We have a wide range of activities on a daily basis, including implementation.

　The softball tournament has been prepared by each committee member from April every year, and this time it was postponed one day due to the intense heat, but it was held safely. Both of us, Chairman Hitoshi Tsukahara of the Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council and Chairman Masashi Sugawara of the Youth Instructor Council, said, "I want children to experience success and failure through sports." When he helped with the maintenance of the ground or said, "Thank you for holding it," he said that he was glad to be able to hold this tournament.

　We talked to both chairpersons and realized that there was support of sports promotion committee, youth instructors, and children in ward were able to work on sports and events at ease. Of course, there was also the support of many people in the community. Thank you very much. I wanted to support the local children together in the future.
