September Encounter during Keiro Month-I visited wonderful seniors

　September celebrates the longevity of elderly people who have contributed to society for many years. On September 15, we visited two healthy elderly people aged 100 and over in Kanagawa Ward.

　One is Nobu Kono (112 years old), the oldest in the city. Currently, he is admitted to a facility in Yokohama city, participates in events at the facility, interacts with the people around him, and during meals, at the cafeteria, with other residents, He seems to be looking forward to eating on his own. On the day, his son Yutaka (90 years old) also rushed to the facility by bicycle, and we heard about Nobu's daily life and old memories together.

　The other is Hiroko Inoue (104 years old), who is active as a painter. I visited the Western-style building at home where the atelier is located. Even now, the paintings are drawn on a daily basis, and it seems that they can go on a bus alone to buy special art materials. He also exhibited his work "White Road (Photo)" at the 101st Zhukai Exhibition (Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum) this year, and said that he has already started his next work. She shared her thoughts on art and peace with her daughter of living together and contemporary artist Shizuko Ono.

　Both of them were full of charm only because they were older, and I was able to get well here.
