About dog procedures, how to keep them, etc.
You can change the registration and registration details of your dog online.
From September 2024, the following procedures using the Yokohama City Electronic Application and Notification System are possible.
- Application for registration of domestic dogs
- Notification of change in registration items for domestic dogs
- Change in Address in Yokohama
- Change of dog owner
- Changes or additions to Phone number
- Change the hair color of the dog
- Changes or additions of microchip numbers
User registration is required for use. After user registration, please apply from application for registration of domestic dog or notification of change of registration matter of domestic dog.

- You cannot apply for registration of your dog if you have already registered with Yokohama City and other local governments.
- A fee (3,000 yen registration fee for dogs and 110 yen postage for dog's license tag) is required to apply for registration of domestic dogs.
- If a microchip is attached, prepare a document that shows the microchip number.
- Please prepare a document with your dog's license tag or dog's license tag number (such as a notice from rabies vaccination) when you register your dog.
- For other precautions, please refer to the application for registration of domestic dogs (outside site) or notification of change of domestic dog registration (outside site).
