If your dog dies

If your dog has died, please notify the Health Sanitation Division Environmental Sanitation Section window in Kohoku Health and Welfare Center (39th floor on the 3rd floor), telephone, e-mail, or Yokohama City Electronic Application and Notification System. There is no charge.

From October 2022, you can apply for a death report using the Yokohama City Electronic Application and Notification System (outside site).
User registration is required for use. After user registration, please file from death report of domestic dog (outside site).
You need your dog's dog's license tag number for notification. Please bring your documents with your dog's license tag or dog's license tag number.

If you would like to take your bones home or cremate individually, please contact the municipal Totsuka Saijo (Tel: 045-864-7001).
