Types of public pension, etc. Lump-sum payment for National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin)

Last updated on March 16, 2023.

Lump-sum payments for National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) include lump-sum payments for death and lump-sum payments for short-term foreign residents.

When a person who paid National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) premiums for more than 36 months as the first insured person (including voluntary insured persons) died without receiving an old age pension or Disability Basic Pension, this is a lump-sum payment for survivors who had the same livelihood.
Also, if both the widow's pension and the lump-sum death payment apply, select one of them.
