Alert regarding Ecology Life Co., Ltd., which solicits the purchase of corporate bonds
Businesses that solicit the purchase of unsecured convertible bond-type bonds with stock acquisition rights (hereinafter referred to as "bonds"), pretending to be engaged in businesses such as the development of wind power generation systems since August 2015 The Consumer Affairs Agency conducted a survey because consultations pertaining to the above were sent to consumer affairs centers around the country.
As a result, the solicitation of "Ecology Life Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "Ecology Life") confirmed an act that could unfairly harm consumers' interests (telling misconduct). Based on the provisions of Article 38, Paragraph 1 of the Consumer Safety Act, the Consumer Affairs Agency has published information that contributes to preventing the occurrence or spread of consumer damage.

(1)Ecology Life provides consumers with an envelope containing a set of brochures and corporate bond application forms (hereinafter referred to as "solicitation materials") that outlines the company's company and the outline of wind power generation as its business. (Hereinafter referred to as "envelope").
(2)After that, a consumer called a person who wishes to purchase ecology life bonds (hereinafter referred to as "purchase applicants") and said, "I want to purchase bonds, but the bond is the person (consumer) . The same applies hereinafter.) Or only relatives of the person can purchase it, so if you receive a phone call from Ecology Life, I (the purchaser) you (consumer). The same applies below. ) Please answer that you are a relative. "
(3)Depending on the consumer, you may accept the request of the purchase applicant.
(4)After that, a consumer who accepted the request of the purchaser received a phone call from Ecology Life to confirm the relationship with the purchaser, and the consumer said, "The purchaser is a relative of himself (the consumer). . ".
(5)A few days later, Ecology Life called a consumer and said, "You've been lying down your Ecology Life account. As a responsibility, I would like you to pay 3 million yen, 10% of 30 million yen (the purchase price of the purchaser's corporate bond). "
(6)In addition, another person from Ecology Life called a consumer and said, "I was arrested because I tried to buy bonds by lieing that I was a relative." You will also be arrested. You will also need to pay the purchase applicant's bail and your trial fee. "
Advice to Consumers
From a stranger or business, "I want to buy bonds, but only the person who received the envelope or the relative of the person himself / herself can purchase the bonds, so I want me (the purchaser) to be your relatives." Requests such as are fraudulent. Don't respond to such requests from strangers or businesses.
