Director General Column I participated in the summer festival in Minami Ward. (September 6, 2023)

　On Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, we visited summer festivals held in various parts of Minami Ward. Many festivals have been held for the first time in four years since 2019, and I think everyone has been looking forward to it.
　It was a grand and very lively event, with performances and Bon Odori, where everyone carried the portable shrine cheerfully and enjoyed singing and dancing. A lot of smiles could be seen, and the happy smiles of the children were particularly impressive.
　In addition, a large number of people from various generations participated in every festival, and I realized the ties of local communities that have faded due to the long COVID-19 pandemic, the restoration of bustle, and the connection that fosters the future.
　It was the first summer festival in several years, and I think that there were various difficulties for the event. I would like to thank all those who have contributed to the event.
　As a ward office, we will work with you to create a vibrant community development while valuing "empathy and trust" and "horizontal connection".
