On December 24, 2020, on the special stage on the first floor of the city hall, "Kai, listen, ha, everyone Ekiden meet!" We held an opening event and presented a huge bridge picture by nursery school children in Naka Ward.
The annual “Naka Ward Nursery School Ekiden Tournament” is a major event in which all nursery schools with older children from Naka Ward participate. Instead, older children from all 29 gardens co-produced giant bridge paintings under the theme of "Kai, Ki, Ki, Ha, and Ekiden Tournament Together".
The huge "Tsunagi-e", which shows each of the 420 children creating their own running and running together, includes the children's thoughts that "I couldn't do a real Ekiden tournament, but let's run together in the picture!" And nursery teachers' thoughts, "I want you to experience the power of each and every person to lead to everyone's power even in the COVID-19 pandemic."
At the opening event, a child from Yokohama China Nursery School, a player representative, told us fun stories and songs.
The bridge picture was exhibited on the first floor of the city hall, and many people enjoyed it (exhibition until January 11, 2021).
