Mayor and Jubee Nakaiya Honoring Society from Tsumagoi Village, Gunma Prefecture paid a courtesy visit to Director General!
Naka Ward and Tsumagoi Village, Gunma Prefecture, signed a friendship exchange agreement in February 2016, with the recognition of Jubee Nakaiya, who played an active part in the opening of Yokohama Port.
This year, Jubee Nakaiya, a person who has contributed to the opening of Yokohama Port, will celebrate its 200th anniversary, so the Jubee Nakaiya Honoring Society will play a central role in planning a commemorative event in Tsumagoimura.
For the commemorative event, Mayor Tsumagoi Village and members of the Jubee Nakaiya Honoring Society paid a courtesy visit to Naka Director General and exchanged opinions for future exchanges and mutual invitations.
Mayor Tsumagoi Village, Chairman of Jubee Nakaiya Honoring Society, 7th head of Nakaiya, and a total of 7 people came.
Mr. Tsumagoi Village spoke about the concept of the 200th anniversary event of Jubee Nakaiya's birth.
Mr. Matsumura, Chairman of the Yokohama Textile Promotion Association, proposed the history of silk and the cooperation system for exhibitions.
