2024 began (January 11, 2024)

　2024 has begun, and 10 days have passed in no time.
　I would like to express my sympathy to all those affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on New Year's Day.
　And I sincerely pray for the happiness of those who died in the sudden earthquake.

　I have always told you that you can't predict when an earthquake will occur, but I never expected that such a large earthquake will occur on the New Year's Day.
　As the damage became clear, I was surprised at its size, and when I saw the video of the cold and snow-covered affected areas, I wonder how we can support the affected people.
　On January 2, Yokohama City launched the affected areas Support Team, headed by the mayor, to provide assistance to the affected areas, including the dispatch of air fire brigades and water vehicle, as well as the provision of disaster-prevention relief supplies.

　A donation box was provided at the New Year's meeting held at Seya Center on January 6, and we received a lot of warm support from the attendees. Thank you very much.
　As the Executive Committee of the Seya Ward New Year Celebration, the donations collected will be delivered to affected areas.

　We also have a donation box on the second floor of the ward office. We look forward to your continued support and cooperation.

　I don't know when natural disasters really happen. I hope you, once again, check yourself, your family, and your community's "preparation".
