New Year's Greetings (January 2023)

　Happy new year. We are grateful to the inhabitants of the ward for welcoming the good New Year.
　Last year, COVID-19 infection became inseparable from our lives, and I think everyone's anxiety is still great. The ward office will continue to work on infectious disease countermeasures.

　On the other hand, last year was also a year when Tsurumi Ward was revived. In addition to attracting attention as the stage of the NHK serial TV novel "Chimudon", the "Tsurumi Rinkai Festival" was held for the first time in three years, and local festivals that had been canceled or reduced until now were also devised. There were many things that were implemented. This year, including the Mitsuike Park Festival, we hope that it will be a more lively year than last year. As a ward office, we will continue to revitalize the local economy of Tsurumi Ward and promote appeal, and hope that residents and all over the country will enjoy Tsurumi.

　In the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan 2022-2025", which was formulated in December last year, the basic strategy is "Yokohama, a town that nurtures the next generation of children who have raised children together." Tsurumi Ward has been focusing on child-rearing support, providing consultation on child-rearing and providing information on child-rearing at the local child-rearing support base, Wakun Hiroba, and other local child-rearing support centers. In addition, we are working to improve the convenience of residents of the city, such as making it possible for both reservations and consultation online.
　Tsurumi Ward is characterized by a large number of child-raising households and foreign-national households. In the future, we will strive to steadily deliver information and support to everyone living in Tsurumi Ward.

　This year, we will continue to strive for Tsurumi Ward to become a "town that has lived forever" in the future, with safety and security as the first priority.
