Tsurumi, a town that makes it easier to enjoy (October 2022)

　NHK's TV series Chimudon, which was set in Tsurumi Ward, ended at the end of September. During this time, many companies and organizations, mainly the people of the "Chimudon" Yokohama Tsurumi Project, have contributed to the excitement. One of them, "Yokohama Tsurumi's Delicious stamp rally," 45 stores in the ward offer menus using Okinawan cuisine and Okinawan ingredients. Many of the shops I visited for the first time since stamp rally, and I enjoy not only delicious food, but also conversations with the shops I meet there and local people.

　In September, Mayor Yamanaka visited the Tsurumi Ward Office and exchanged opinions with the presidents of the Union Neighborhood Association on a new metropolitan system called “Special City” that Yokohama City is aiming for early realization. The mayor told the necessity of legislation of the "special city", and the chairpersons received opinions and questions because they had their efforts in the area on a daily basis, and it was a fulfilling exchange of opinions. .

　While paying attention to infectious disease countermeasures, local events are gradually restarting. On October 15, the Tsurumi Rinkai Festival is also scheduled for the first time in three years. I look forward to visiting the city as much as possible, meeting and talking with you.
