Fiscal 2023 started (April 2023)

　It has been my second year since I arrived at Director General. Over the past year, we have been very helpful to the inhabitants of the ward. We look forward to seeing you again this year.

　On the cover of the April issue of Yokohama Tsurumi Ward, we introduce the canola flower of Riverside Garden near Tsurumi River Bridge. People from the local Neighborhood Association Federation have been taking care of for many years. 　As an event where you can touch beautiful flowers and greenery, the International Horticultural Expo "GREEN x EXPO 2027" will be held in Yokohama City in 2027. This is the first World Exposition in Yokohama and the seventh World Exposition in Japan, the so-called World Exposition. We aim to create an exciting green expo, such as experiencing state-of-the-art horticulture, agriculture, and various food culture around the world.

　In Tsurumi Ward, with the cooperation of the Tsurumi Ward Federation of Self-Government Associations, we began distributing flower seeds in late March to promote the prevention of special fraud and promote the International Horticultural Exposition. We will distribute mini sunflowers and asster seeds, and this year's zodiac rabbit is in a bag with illustrations that appeal to fraud prevention. 　In 2027, Tsurumi Ward will celebrate its 100th anniversary, and we will work together with the International Horticultural Exposition.

　I think many people have seen the World Baseball Classic (WBC) held last month. I was also empowered by the players who usually confront each other as opponents became one team, and playing together toward the common goal of winning. The ward office also has a change in staff in the new fiscal year, but we will welcome new members and work together with "Team Tsurumi" again to do our best. .
　On May 20, the Mitsuike Park (Culture and Environment) Festival will be held for the first time in four years. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the venue.
