New Year's Greetings (January 2024)

　Happy New Year.
　First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1. I wish all the people of affected areas could regain their daily lives as soon as possible.

　Last year, when COVID-19 shifted to Class 5 in May, it was a year when I felt that Tsurumi's vitality was returning, including the resumption of events for the first time in four years and the revival of regular events. Every time you visit such events, the local community, companies, schools, and organizations convey the passion of improving and enlivening Tsurumi's town with their own power, and that feeling is brought in, I feel that it has become a great force. In my second year in office, this feeling is only getting stronger day by day.

　Also, in June this year, GREEN x EXPO2027, an environmental theme, will be held 1000 days before the event. Until now, we have been promoting initiatives to foster momentum, such as exhibiting at the ward government building and holding photo contests, but since 2027 is also the year of the 100th anniversary of the Tsurumi ward system, we are excited with everyone for that I want to go.

　There may be many people who lack exercise during this year-end and New Year holidays. What we want such people to pick up is that we have been distributing since last month, "Ken (Ken) Happiness Map to get on foot!" That's right. Walking is an exercise that anyone can work on at any time, so I would like you to use it for your daily health promotion.
