The history and origin of the town name / Akanedai 1-chome to 2-chome
Hen history / origin
A town newly established from a part of Ondacho with the enforcement of the land readjustment project in 1990. Transferred from Midori Ward following the reorganization of administrative districts in 1994. The name of the town is Nishigaya, a character that occupies almost half of the town area, with a cluster of perennial vines of the Acane family, and the character name "Nishi" and Akane's kanji "Akane" are similar. Because he was roasting and drinking as a medicine, he named it "Akanedai" at the request of the local area.
