Hen history / origin
With the enforcement of the land readjustment project in 1976, a town newly established from each part of Motoishikawacho, Obacho, and Biyugaoka 5-chome. Transferred from Midori Ward following the reorganization of administrative districts in 1994. The name of the town was taken at the request of the local community.
