History and origin of the town name / Biyugaoka 1-chome to 5-chome
Hen history / origin
A town newly established from a part of Motoishikawacho with the enforcement of the land readjustment project in 1969 and 47. It used to be Ishikawa-mura, Tsuzuki-gun. When the municipal system came into effect in 1889, it became Motoishikawacho. Transferred from Midori Ward following the reorganization of administrative districts in 1994. Before conducting the land readjustment project, the name of the town was selected at the request of the local community in hopes of developing it as a beautiful town even after building the house because the natural environment was beautiful in the hills.
