On March 16, 2022, Kanagawa Prefecture released "Kanagawa Prefecture's View on the Special Self-Government City Initiative".
In response, three mayors of Yokohama City, Kawasaki City and Sagamihara City, which are designated cities in the prefecture, will issue an emergency statement.
