Uekanzaka

Yokohama is a town with lots of hills. How much is it in a large and small mix? There are many names. Many of them have interesting origins, such as crying hills in Midori Ward, moving hills in Minami Ward, and shells in Tsuzuki Ward  . However, when it comes to a slope with a person's name, it's surprisingly few. It is about Gonbeizaka in Kanagawa and Gontazaka in Hodogaya, but these are all legendary figures and it is not clear because of various theories.

In that respect, this slope is extremely venerable. It is named after the ancestors of the gardener in the middle of the slope, and is now the seventh generation. It is a long-established store in Yokohama, Shinkaichi, even as a 30-year-old generation. When you go down this slope, there was Akamon Tofukuji Temple, and Tetsu Onsen on the way, but it is now abolished. When you climb up, you cross Mt. Noge on the right and Kasumibashi Bridge on the left to Minami Ward.
