36.Akamon Tofukuji Temple of Aoi's Omon (near 2-17 Akamoncho)
Speaking of Akamon, it seems that the market price is fixed at the University of Tokyo, but there is also a remarkable Akamon in Yokohama. The Edo period was built in 1827 in Bunsei 10 (1827), when Sohime, the daughter of Shogun Ienari, married the Maeda family of Kaga Domain. It is said that Komeizan Tofukuji Temple was founded in imperial prayer, Emperor Gosaga, during the Kangen era (1243-7). In 1591, famous temple was granted the territory of Ieyasu Tokugawa, and at that time he was allowed to use the crest of Aoi.
The mountain gate used to be a magnificent one on the second floor, but it has been burned out seven times since its foundation, including the war damage, and the current one was rebuilt in 1960. The main deity is 90 centimeters Kannon Bodhisattva. In addition, at the grave of this temple, there are Fukiro Okura, which was famous as a female masterpiece of Yokohama, and the tomb of the writer Shin Hasegawa family.
