27.Iseyama Kota Shrine (Miyazakicho 64)
new year worshipping, seven-five-three from first shrine visit for a newborn, Iseyama Shrine has a deep connection with Nishi Ward people.
In the first place of this shrine, the Ise-no-Morito shrine near Iwakame Yokocho was moved to its current location in 1870, after receiving a spirit from Ise-jingu Shrine in Mie Prefecture, the then governor of Kanagawa Prefecture, and was designated as the total guardian of the prefectural shrine and Yokohama.
According to the policies of the Meiji New Government, Shinto and Mount Fuji were superimposed as spiritual pillars of the Japanese people, and a shrine was built on a hill on the line connecting the port and Mount Fuji. Even now, in the forest of modern architecture, the gods of worship still retains its position as a famous place in Yokohama.
