I left the company. What do I need to do for pension?

If you are between 20 and 60 years old and leave Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin), you must join National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) (change the type to the first insured). 1. Please bring your My Number Card, Basic Pension Number Notice, pension Notebook, and 2. Certificate of Retirement (such as a turnover slip) and apply for membership at Insurance and Pension Division National Pension Plan SectionRetirement's ward office. If you have a dependent spouse (aged 20 to under 60), please bring your spouse's basic pension number notice and pension notebook. (You can also apply electronically for the National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) procedure from the minor portal to notify the first insured person of National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin). For details, please refer to the Japan pension Organization website (outside site). ) If you retire and become dependent on your spouse who is the second insured person, you will be the third insured person. No procedures are required.
