We held "stroke prevention lecture"!
A stroke prevention lecture was held jointly with the ward office, and a certified nurse for stroke rehabilitation nursing and a registered dietitian from our hospital spoke as lecturers.

The first event was co-hosted with Naka Ward on Thursday, September 21, "Prevention is Power! He gave a lecture on the theme of "Let's protect yourself from stroke." Nurse Muraki and Kobayashi Nutritionist served as lecturers, and 28 people attended.
Mr. Kobayashi explained in detail the theme of “balanced diet” from the perspective of a dietitian. The role of nutrients, moderate balance, and how to combine them were used as a reference for their own dishes and foods sold nearby, and the content was easy to imagine. It was a very bright lecture where occasional jokes, explained while communicating with the participants, and heard laughter with voices of interest. I received a lot of questions, and it was a lively lecture until the end.

The second lecture was co-hosted with Kanagawa Ward on Thursday, October 5, with the theme of preventing a recurrence of stroke. Nurse Muraki served as a lecturer, and 28 people attended.
Dr. Muraki gave a step-by-step and easy-to-understand explanation of stroke, based on his experience in a specialized ward for stroke, including signs of stroke, differences in symptoms that occur at each site of disability, and treatments for stroke. In particular, he took time to explain stroke prevention and signs, and those who attended were eager to take notes.

The third lecture was co-hosted with Seya Ward on Friday, October 6, with the theme of "preventing stroke that can be done now." Nurse Muraki and Chief of Kawabata Nutrition Department served as lecturers, and 37 people attended.
Mr. Kawabata, Chief of Nutrition Department, explained each precautionary measure against stroke risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia) from the viewpoint of diet. In particular, focusing on salt reduction, he explained how to make side dishes using commercial products and how to reduce salt using actual daily meals. Using the key word " palm size" as a keyword, we showed the approximate amount of materials and gave a concrete and easy-to-understand lecture that can be put into practice today.
