Procedure to transfer to a school outside Yokohama

Procedures at “Transfer School (Yokohama Municipal Elementary and Junior High School)”

 You will be required to submit the “Transfer / Retired registration form” to the new school, and you will receive documents such as “student registration certificate” and “Certificate of Paying Books” from the new school on the last day of school.

Procedures at the Kohoku Ward Office (Notice of Transference)

 There are no school-related procedures, but you will need to submit a “Notification of Transfer” to the Kohoku Ward Office.

 In addition, procedure of "move-out notice" is possible without coming to the agency by mail.

Procedures in “Municipalities in New Address Area (Notification of Transference)”

 After you live in New Address, please submit a “Notification of Transfer” to the municipalities in New Address.

 Regarding school-related procedures in the New Address area, please refer to the following.
 Some municipalities go directly to the school, so please contact the municipalities in the new Address area in advance.
