[6th] I went to see creeping phlox in Kamoi again this year!　

On Friday, April 19, we went to see creeping phlox at Tsurumi River riverbed near Kamoi Station.
This creeping phlox was planted in dike by members of the Green River and Wind Society, which engage in environmental conservation activities based in riverbed, Kamoi. It was first planted three years ago, and new plants were planted little by little, making it a popular spot in Kamoi with pink carpets.
It was planted in riverbed on the south side of Kamoike Bridge, and everyone crossing the bridge towards Kamoi Station stopped and looked at creeping phlox.

In order to protect the landscape of riverbed, we regularly carry out maintenance and management such as mowing, removing pebbles and watering throughout the year. Thanks to these activities on a daily basis, riverbed has become beautiful, and because it is beautiful, the number of people who throw away garbage is reduced, and the beautiful scenery is maintained, and I thank you again for the activities of the local community.

Also, at the Green River and Wind Society, we are planning events to make people feel familiar with the Tsurumi River so that they can think of Midori Ward as their hometown. From April 20 to the end of Golden Week, mini carp streamers designed by elementary school studenｔ at Kamoi Elementary School, Midori Elementary School and Takeyama Elementary School will be displayed over the Tsurumi River and swim well!
