[37th] Youth cooking experience course "Midori Ward is also amazing!"
Last updated on December 12, 2024.
On Sunday, December 8, at the Nakayama District Center, Midori Ward Regional Promotion Division sponsored a youth cooking experience course for elementary school students (3rd grade and above) and their parents, "Midori Ward is also awesome curry! ~ Let's teach Indian residents ~ "was held.
In this course, parents and children will deepen their learning and communication through curry cooking experiences that both adults and children love, and interest and understanding of multicultural coexistence based on the characteristics of this ward that there are many foreign residents from India. It was planned and implemented for the first time this year with the aim of raising it.
Ra, a resident of India, who serves as a lecturer, appeared wearing a traditional folk costume, Sally. After a brief lecture from Regional Promotion Division in the conference room, we moved to the cooking room and finally started the cooking experience.
Children who are not used to kitchen knives will also try to cut onions and tomatoes, but it's a bit confusing! So, the adults around me say, "The hand of the person holding down is the 'cat's hand'." When oil is heated in a pot and a lot of spices and ingredients are entered, a delicious scent spreads in the room as soon as possible, and just by smelling it, your appetite will be increased. Raji went around each group to see the taste of curry and answer questions from participants.
"Indian curry", which is slightly different from "Japanese curry" that we usually eat, was delicious in every group. I also enjoyed Raji's pot, "Curry with a little spice for adults." By the way, this time we combined Japanese rice, but in India, in addition to rice, we eat it with "Nan" (flake bread) and "Dosa" (crepe made by fermenting rice and beans) .
It was impressive that the participants enjoyed cooking and challenging new things on their own. I hope that everyone who participated in the course will be able to enjoy curry making at home and take an interest in the language and culture of various countries overseas, including India. You. Thank you very much for your cooperation in Raji and the Green International Lounge.
Mr. Raji, the lecturer, is wonderful in sally.
