[49th] The award ceremony for the Midori Ward Photo Contest 2024 was held.

Last updated on March 17, 2025.

The award ceremony for the Midori Ward Photo Contest 2024 was held at the Midori Ward Office on Tuesday, March 11.

"I want everyone to know! Under the theme of Midori Ward's Best!", 5 prizes and 15 honorable mentions were selected from among the 152 entries submitted with Yokohama's leading photographer Hideo Mori and Chairman Takeo Kimura of the Midori Ward Association of Autonomous Regions.
There were many masterpieces that could rediscover Midori Ward's "Recommendations" including works that were not awarded. Thank you very much for your application.

At the award ceremony, which was attended by the five winners, they talked about the episodes of shooting the work and their thoughts on the work. I have also visited rice planting and rice harvesting, and I was delighted to see the charm of Midori Ward in each episode, such as activities to protect Tando rice, which are no longer seen, and stories about parks that I enjoy with my children. Once again, congratulations on winning the prize.

All prize-winning and honorable works can be viewed on the Midori Ward web page, and exhibitions will be held at the ward office until March 26. Also, in the April issue of Yokohama Midori Ward, we plan to introduce some recommended spots where you can enjoy the spring Midori Ward while introducing the winning works.
